DLC 2 Announced!

So on the day this is being posted, the 1st DLC pack is 1 day away from being released, but that's not what I', here to talk about. Instead I want to mention about the trailer that was released for it. It shows the contents that will be for the DLC along with the free update. So let's break it down shall we.

So the trailer starts off by showing various clips of gameplay of Xenoverse 2, including a match between Future Trunks and Goku Black. But it's after that where we get somewhere good. It first shows off the new awoken skills for SSGSS Goku, Kaioken x10, or as it's mentioned in the trailer SSGSS Kaioken. I have to start by saying that I like the mix of the blue aura from SSGSS Goku and the red aura from Kaioken, it just looks good.

It then shows Hits skill Pure Progress, which doesn't seem much at first. But as he fights Goku he is more powerful and we see him using it to get powerful.

It then showcases the new masters and the ultimate skills you can learn from them. First off is Android 16 and shows the player using Hell's Flash, then it shows Bardock and his Saiyan Spirit attack. Then we get to see Future Gohan and the use of the One Handed Kamehameha Mk 2, which is as badass as it always it is, I mean it's the iconic Kamehameha but with one arm, that's awesome! And then we get to Whis and Cooler and their Symphonic Destruction and Supernova Cooler.

It then shows off some new costumes that are related to the Frieza race in one way or another before it shows off the new event with Frieza invading Conton City. And we see how it might work with Dedoria coming to the player where we assume we fight him, which assumes that we face off various members of the Frieza Force and eventuall we'll face Frieza himself.

And then we get to the content of the paid DLC, which starts off by showcasing some of the new attacks and costumes, including Champa's clothes. Why do I bring that up, you'll see.

It is then where we get to the exciting part, the new characters. It starts off with Cabba doing a barrage of punches and kicks on Saiyaman before sending him down with a energy blast. It then shows Frost and how he uses that poison needle to stun Vegeta before kicking him away.

It then shows the new Master, Hit, and boy will he be tough. Unlike most of the mentors, it seems Hit will be much harder, predicting your moves and getting the upper hand, just like how he is in the anime.

And that is how the trailer ends, but not before it leaves with the best part of this trailer, DLC 2!

Promo image of DLC Pack 2

It appears that for the next DLC characters we'll be getting are Champa, Lord Beerus's brother, Vados, Whis's sister, Zamasu, Super Sayin Rose Goku Black, and SSGSS Vegito. Seeing how this goes well with how the Future Trunks Arc of Dragon Ball Super ended recently, it asks the question on who else they might add.

And that's all the trailer shows, with DLC 1 coming soon, it'll definitely be worth getting the season pass for, especially now that DLC 2 is announced.

How to Unlock Super Saiyan

Before Xenoverse 2 was released, it was announced that each race was going to get their own transformation. While their pretty easy to unlock, I thought still post on what to do to unlock these transformations.

Super Saiyan (left) Golden (middle) Purified (right)

I decided to put these transformations in separate posts so it'll be a while until all five transformations are here, but it'll get there. Now in order to get these transformations, you need to be able to access the time miniatures. You get to them pretty early in the story and each miniature has their own unique quests that, depending on what race you are, will get you the transformation.

Saiyans (Super Saiyan/Super Vegeta)

Super Saiyan 3

Starting off I'll explain how to unlock the Super Saiyan transformation. If your character has to be a Saiyan in order to unlock it. The time miniature you want is the Capsule Corp. where you can train with Vegeta, but you can't train with him immediately. You need to be at a certain level before you can train with him. Once you reach that level, you'll get a notification saying there's an event at Capsule Corp.

Once you go there and talk to Vegeta, you'll be able to train with him. The first fight he will be in his regular form, and all you got to do is beat him. After that just play through the story a bit until your level 40 and get another notification from Capsule Corp. When you do, you'll fight him again but this time he's Super Saiyan.

Once you beat him you'll be able to talk to him again, with him asking if you not going Super Saiyan is part of the training. When you tell him you can't go Super Saiyan, he tells you to talk to Bulma and Trunks and ask them how to go Super Saiyan. Once you do, talk to Vegeta again and you fight him again but he's alongside Goku. Eventually as you fight them you'll be able to go Super Saiyan and all you got to do is beat them. Just as a heads up when you beat them the first time, they'll get back up with Goku going Super Saiyan 3 and Vegeta going Super Saiyan 2.

After the quest is done, you'll be able to go Super Saiyan, and the amount of Ki you have will determine what level of Super Saiyan you become. Three bars makes you go regular Super Saiyan, four bars make you go Super Saiyan 2, and five bars make you go Super Saiyan 3.

To unlock Super Vegeta, just keep training with him and eventually you'll unlock it.

Next transformation I'll go over in another post is the Golden Frieza transformation so be on the look out for that

DLC 1 News

I know I'm behind on the news about this but I thought I might as well put it up sooner or later. Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced the release date of and contents of the first DLC pack, along with a free DLC pack for everyone. So let's dig into these shall we.

Let's start off with the free DLC, the first thing we'll cover is the new skills it'll unlock for both SSGSS Goku and Hit. For Goku, he'll obtain a new awakened skill, Kaioken times 10, which matches up for when he actually went times 10 Kaioken in Dragon Ball Super. Hit also gains a new awakened skill, Pure Progress, not sure how this will work but based on what happened with the anime, we can be safe to assume all of his stats will increase dramatically, probably over time who knows.

Hit's new Awakened Skill

This DLC will also unlock 6 new costumes and 4 new attacks, but what really makes this special is a new event that's going to be coming for everyone, Frieza's Siege! Apparently Frieza has invaded Conton City and it's up to us to defend it against his army. Also there are 10 new Jersey costumes to win kind of like the one Gohan wore when Frieza returned.

We also get a brand new Raid Quest that features Evil Yamcha, along with an exclusive title to win.

And to finish it off, the update includes 5 new teachers in the form of Future Gohan, Bardock, Cooler, Android 16, and Whis. There will also be 20 new attacks which will be taught by these new teachers.

Now moving on to the paid DLC pack, and boy do we get some cool stuff. First thing to mention is two brand new characters, which include Frost in his Final Form and the Saiyan Cabbe, along with his Super Saiyan transformation. Now to those who don't know who these two are, they're both from the Dragon Ball Super anime.

Frost is a member of the Frieza race of Universe 6 and was supposedly a good guy. However it was all a ruse, while he was the one who stopped wars, he also started them before joining in and heroically put an end to them just to gain heroic publicity. He even goes as far as cheating, which was how he was able to beat both Goku and Piccolo. In his arms are needles which can unleash a poison that makes an opponent drowsy, giving him the advantage. In fact, this is one of Frost's attacks in Xenoverse 2.

Cabbe is a Saiyan also from Universe 6. Cabbe is like a younger Vegeta, and in his universe the Saiyans are heroes for hire. During his fight with Vegeta, Cabbe was able to keep up with him, even doing his own version of the Gallick Gun called the Gallick Cannon. However, when Vegeta told Cabbe to go Super Saiyan, Cabbe said he couldn't which led Vegeta to practically destroy him. As he was about to finish him off, Vegeta said that he would also destroy Cabbe's planet which caused Cabbe to be extremely angry. This was all he needed to go Super Saiyan, which can be used in Xenoverse 2.

The DLC also comes with 5 new attacks and a new master, Hit himself. While the attacks we get from him are unknown, one possible attack is what appears to be a new Ultimate attack for Hit, which he used against SSGSS Goku.

Hit's new attack against SSGSS Goku.

The DLC also gives us 3 new Parallel Quests, along with 2 new costumes, 5 super souls, and 2 emotes.

When do we get these new features, you might be asking? Both DLC will be available on December 20th. The paid DLC will cost $9.99, but with the season pass you can get it, along with three other unannounced DLC packs, for only $29.99. That's all the info we got, are you excited for this new DLC? Are you planning on buying it individually or get the season pass? Let me know and I'll see you guys on the next post.
